Vibe
Vibe captures the intangible qualities that make a venue distinctive. Not what it has, but what it is.
Why vibe matters
Two boutique hotels might have the same amenities. But one feels intimate and design-forward while another feels convivial and locally-rooted. These differences matter enormously to guests - and to AI agents trying to make good recommendations.
What vibe contains
Vibe includes a primary character (intimate, convivial, design-forward, heritage, etc.) along with secondary dimensions that add nuance. A venue might be primarily intimate, with design-forward and locally-rooted as secondary qualities.
Beyond categories, vibe includes atmospheric description: the pace, the feel, what it's like to be there.
An example
A boutique hotel's vibe might be captured as:
Intimate, design-forward, urban. A calm refuge in the city. Unhurried pace, considered design, spaces that invite lingering.
This tells an agent far more than "boutique hotel with spa."
What agents can do with vibe
When someone asks for "somewhere romantic," agents check vibe rather than just searching keywords. Intimate venues surface. Party hotels don't. The right guests find the right places.
